Berlin Spring Perfume
Berlin spring perfume – Once again I had the pleasure to collaborate with my friend Helder Suffenplan on his passion project, Scentury – Perfume Stories. This time around it was not a portrait session but rather a longer session highlighting the newest and boldest Berlin spring perfumes. The names of the scents themselves makes you slightly dizzy. What about Nord du Nord by WienerBlut? Or Pink Molécule 090.09 by Zarkoperfume? The starting point for this particular session was the sheer screen that was put in front of model Jakob that provided a sense of voyeurism and sensuality. It took a bit of time to figure out the right way to light the scene. I wanted to keep the mood very soft and ligt but still have defining shadows and highlights - this proved to be trickier than I thought!
As always the copywriting on Scentury is absolutely stunning (after all it’s about the stories and memories that scents evoke). Scentury is a research platform for perfume culture that strives to redefine the way we speak and think about fragrance. Scentury translates perfume into stories and images — a language everyone understands. Our global network of creative innovators and fragrance experts helps us to gain a deeper understanding of the cultural, social and psychological contexts of fragrance.
